About · Fractional Cofounder, Kavea & Co

The person founders hand the decisions they won't hand anyone else.

I'm Kavea. I've worked since I was 15, close to 30 years now, across 9 countries. Big Four consulting, aviation, banks, sales. Then I built my own D2C brand from home and sold it.

Range

I know how business works across regions.

I was born and raised in Dubai, the first 30 years of my life. I've been in Mumbai for the last 16. Since moving, I've learnt to work with people from different walks of life, languages and mindsets.

So if you're a new founder, or a founder of 40 who's sceptical: yes, I've been in corporate. I understand what it takes.

One idea. Two homes, work across 9 countries, close to 30 years of reading how business works.

The short version

Corporate taught me how organisations work. My brand taught me what it costs.

  1. 15

    First job, in sales

I've worked since I was 15. Then National Bank of Dubai, Samsung Gulf Electronics and others.

  2. 18 yrs

    Consulting with the Big Four

McKinsey, KPMG, Deloitte, EY. I saw from the inside how organisations grow and break.

  3. Aviation

    Jet Airways and Go Air

I was Global Head of Learning & Development at Jet Airways.

  4. 2020

    Bombay Toy Company, from home

In COVID, with no background in toys or business. An all-women team, while raising my 3 kids.

  5. 2024

    Acquired. I exited.

What made it sellable: systems that didn't rely on me, and a team that could run without the founder at the centre.

  6. Now

    Kavea & Co

Fractional Cofounder for D2C founders. TEDx speaker. Before I went public on Instagram, I signed 5 clients for my 1:1 programme in 2 months, all through referrals.

What I do

Cofounder in everything but equity.

Not a consultant, not a coordinator. I work inside the business as a builder and operator, on every call, across every team. I take a stand rather than agree for the sake of it. Equity was never the point. Decision-making authority is.

  • Product and market fit
  • Pricing and unit economics
  • Reaching customers: ads, PR, performance, offline
  • Retention and repeat sales
  • Competitor research
  • Revenue model and channel mix
  • Team systems
  • SOPs

Who I work with

Early, or stuck. The stage matters, not the size.

0 to 1: ideation, pre-launch, early launch. Or 1 to 10L a month: you've plateaued and can't break through.

Before we speak, you fill a short form, then a questionnaire of about 30 questions. It takes an hour to an hour and a half, and that too brutally honest. Then I take at least 3 days to sit and study it before the call.

Two stages. Starting out, or stuck and can't break through.

Three founders

What working with me actually looks like.

40 days

The chocolate founder

“It took 40 days to convince him his D2C website needed a developer. He later admitted, unprompted, that it only happened because of that push.”
Broken pieces of dark chocolate
Clarity

The stationery designer

“A trained brand designer, with a confused positioning of her own. Craft expertise doesn't guarantee clarity about your own brand.”
Open notebooks and planners on a desk
1 year

The founder who waited

“Met a year before implementing the strategy. Her own regret: wishing she had started earlier. Delay was the only real cost.”

What founders say

“There's someone else thinking about my business.”

“What I really appreciate about her is her brutal honesty. She gives you a realistic picture of your business, including the hard truths about its sustainability, without sugarcoating anything.”
Ruchita Paul · on Topmate
“It felt like speaking with someone who has genuinely built a consumer brand and understands the realities of the journey.”
Yash Vadher, Play Staples · on Topmate
“She helped me see pricing and channel decisions I hadn't considered, which changed how I approached strategy.”
Anshuman Pandey · on Topmate
“An hour with Kavea was enough to see the depth of thought and care she brings to understanding a business.”
Padmaja Nagarur, ArtFlute · on Topmate
“Kavea made me feel seen, heard and safe above everything else.”
Abhik De · on Topmate
“Sometimes all it takes is one conversation with the right person to see things more clearly.”

If you want to talk

No lies, no mincing words. Just clarity.
